Request More Info
Thank you for your interest in traveling to Macon, Georgia! The Macon-Bibb County CVB
is always available to assist journalists who are researching and developing media coverage
for print, online and broadcast outlets.
Each year we receive a considerable number of journalist requests seeking media privileges.
Therefore, we ask your cooperation in the following guidelines when requesting a press visit,
in order to effectively meet your editorial and photographic needs.
- Please complete the media trip request form below.
- Allow a minimum of three weeks notice for a media visit, upon receipt of your credentialing information. This allows us to coordinate accommodations and make other arrangements to enhance your visit.
- Email, fax, or mail a letter of assignment on letterhead from the media outlet you are representing. These credentials help us qualify that Macon is the perfect travel destination for your publication. If demographics, circulation and other factors match our criteria we will be glad to help you secure a discounted or complementary rate at an area hotel. Email: Stephanie Robinson at srobinson@maconga.org, or Fax 478-745-2022, or Mail: 450 Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd Macon, GA 31201.
- Freelance journalists should forward recent examples of travel or travel related feature coverage to contact above. Online media and bloggers, please provide third party documentation of web traffic data. Immediately notify the Macon-Bibb County CVB of a change of plans.
- To remain on our preferred media list, please forward an original copy of your published feature, print, tape, or DVD, as soon as possible after the feature runs.
Note: Discounted or complimentary arrangements are provided at the discretion of the
CVB partners and are subject to availability. Black out periods may be experienced
throughout the year that may affect the availability of a media rate.
Please understand that our primary concern is assisting working journalists. Host locations
are not always able to accommodate spouses, children and visitors accompanying working
journalists.
