Gary Wheat

Gary Wheat is the President & CEO of Visit Macon. Wheat has been in the tourism industry for 18 years and has led 4 CVBs, 2 of which he launched. His love for the industry is driven by helping visitors have a good and memorable experience through excellent customer service and "doing it with a smile."

"To me, soul is the history, culture, food, and people. For Macon, it's that music that makes the soul of our destination. I think when people ask me what I think gives Macon 'soul', I reach back to those things," said Wheat.
