Macon, Georgia- The South Georgia Conference of the United Methodist Church will hold its annual conference, June 3rd-5th at the Macon Centreplex. The conference theme is "Let the Redeemed Say So" with more than 1,200 members expected to be in attendance. The conference will give attendees the opportunity to gather together in fellowship and worship. It will consist of business sessions and worship services, which will bring together churches, clergy, and laity from across the South Georgia area.
Macon last hosted South Georgia's Annual Conference session in 2005. "I am very excited to be a part of the Local Arrangements Committee this year," said committee co-chair Nancy Hudson. "We have an excellent committee in place that's working on details that will help to make everyone's stay in Macon comfortable and enjoyable."
The 2012 Annual Conference session will commence on Sunday evening, June 3rd, with Dr. Marcus Tripp preaching during the opening worship service. Dr. Tripp is the senior pastor at Vineville United Methodist Church in Macon. All sessions and worship services are open to visitors.
