Macon, GA- The American Bridge League (ACBL) Mid-Atlantic Bridge Conference will host the Macon-Middle Georgia Regional at the Macon Centreplex, February 18-24,2013. The tournament will begin Monday at 1:30p.m. and conclude Sunday afternoon.
Along with bridge play, the regional tournament will also have expert speakers discussing general bridge topics geared toward beginner, intermediate and expert levels. Len Perkins, Tournament Chair, states "We are excited to host the tournament in Macon. The facilities and central location of Macon make it a great location." This is the first time the event will be held in Macon and hundreds of bridge players are expected to attend. The tournament is open to the public.
The mission of the ACBL is to promote and sustain the game of bridge and serve the bridge-related interests of our Members. Founded in 1937, the ACBL is the largest bridge organization in the world, serving 165,000 members, 3,200 bridge clubs. The Mid-Atlantic Bridge Conference is made up of District Six and District Seven of the American Contract Bridge League. District Seven includes North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and eastern Tennessee while District Six consists of Virginia, Washington DC and most of Maryland.
