Macon, Georgia- The Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation is holding its annual holiday tours with "Home for the Holidays" at the Hay House. This year's events are sponsored by the Bank of America Corporation and Medical Center of Central Georgia. Christmas tours will be available beginning November 19th and will conclude on December 31st. Matthew Davis, Hay House Director states, "the holiday season would not be complete without a tour of the Hay House. We invite the public to enjoy the season with us."

The Hay House will hold many other events during this holiday season. Christmas luncheons, catered by Edgar's Bistro will take place December 7th-9th. Guests will be treated to a three-course meal with live musicians providing entertainment.Reservations are required and are $30 per person. The Hay House will also have Sugar Plum Parties for children 5 and up accompanied by an adult. During this event, children will get a tour of the house, take a photo with a real ballerina from Macon's production of The Nutcracker and decorate Gingerbread cookies. The parties will take place December 4th and 11th and reservations are required. The Sugar Plum parties cost $15 per child and $5 for accompanying adults. The Hay House, located in Macon, GA, is a National Historic Landmark and a property of the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation. Built between 1855 and 1859, the 18,000 square-foot mansion at 934 Georgia Avenue is open for tours Tuesday-Saturday 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and also available for private rental.

Guided Tours:
Monday-Saturday, 10 am-4 pm. Sundays, 1-4 pm. Tours start on the hour; Last tour at 3 pm

Christmas Tours are $11 Adults; $10 Seniors (55+) and Military; $7 Students (Ages 6 - College with ID); Under 6 and Georgia Trust Members Free. No reservations necessary.

Group Tours:
Groups of 20 or more guests are eligible for the Group Rate of $9 per person. Reservations required.

School Tours:
A host of Holiday School Programs with ornament-making activity are available for grades K-12, as well as Homeschool groups and College/University classes. Reservations required. Please call Jessica Graham, Education Coordinator, at 478-742-8155 to discuss programs and dates.
