The Jehovah’s Witnesses invite the public to attend the 2016 “Remain Loyal to Jehovah!” Macon Convention on July 8 – 10 and July 15 – 17 at the Marriott City Center Hotel. The July 8 – 10 session will be Spanish speaking only and the July 15 – 17 session will be English speaking only. There will be 108 congregations and more than 10,000 attendees over the course of both weekends. The Convention is open to the public and no admission will be charged.

The Jehovah’s Witness Convention has been held in Macon for nearly 40 years. According to Robert Tirado, the Convention’s Media Planner, this is largely due to Macon’s accommodations and its central location.

“The city provides us with a lot of hotels and they’re good about accommodating the group of people that the convention brings in,” says Tirado.

The theme for this year’s convention is loyalty. The Witnesses have prepared 35 video segments specifically for the program and two short films that will be shown on Saturday and Sunday.

“Our convention this year features content that will help people develop stronger bonds with friends, family members and, above all, God,” says David Semonian, a spokesperson for Jehovah’s Witnesses.
