Macon, Georgia- The Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau (MBCCVB) will host its 32nd annual meeting Friday, October 19, 2012 at Macon State College Professional Sciences and Conference Room at noon. The MBCCVB will share information from the 2011 United States Travel Association Economic Impact Report.
The 2012 Otis Hughes Tourism Spirit and B.J. Cain Top of the Line awards will be presented during the tourism awards ceremony. The Otis Hughes Tourism award is given to a person who has contributed significantly to the Macon tourism industry and has given unending time, talent and skill to support Macon's tourism growth. The B.J. Cain Top of the Line award is presented to a person who works directly with a visitor at an attraction, restaurant and/or hotel/motel/inn and goes above and beyond the call of duty to provide an exemplary experience for the visitor.
The meeting will have a presentation from Glen Gould. He is a business growth and relationship thought leader who has worked with Fortune 500 corporations including Allstate, Walmart, Target, and Publix as well as small and mid-sized firms. He is also a contributor to numerous print and on-line publications and has co-authored three books; Meet Me At Starbucks, 101 Networking Nuggets, and Is Your Networking Working?
