Macon, Georgia- The Georgia Junior Beta Club Junior State Convention will be held on November 21-22, 2013 at the Macon Centreplex. This convention brings together Jr. Beta members, sponsors and chaperones throughout Georgia for two days of academic competitions, general sessions, talent, arts & crafts contests, leadership opportunities and motivational speeches. This year, the convention expects nearly 5,000 attendees.

The mission of the Georgia Junior Beta Club is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership. The first Georgia Junior Beta convention took place at the Macon City Auditorium in 1983. In 1991, the convention moved to the Macon Centreplex and has remained at this location since that time. The Convention holds the distinction as being the largest Junior Beta Club State Convention in the United States.  

The National Beta Club is the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America. Since 1934, The National Beta Club has awarded students national recognition for their high academic achievement while equipping them to be the leaders of tomorrow. The junior division includes grades 4-9 and the senior division includes grades 9-12.
