Macon, Georgia- The 32nd Georgia Junior Beta convention will be held on November 20 - 22, 2014 at the Macon Centreplex and Marriott City Center Hotel with the theme "Betas, Rockin' the Country".
This convention brings together approximately 6000 Jr. Beta members, sponsors and chaperons throughout Georgia for two days of academic competitions, general sessions, talent, arts & crafts contests, leadership opportunities, and motivational speeches.
Bobby Hart, Chief Operations officer, states, "This year's convention is a great opportunity for students to showcase their talents, academic strengths, and network with one another."
The Georgia Junior Beta Club is the largest state club in the nation. Its mission is to promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership. The first Georgia Junior Beta convention took place at the Macon City Auditorium in 1983. In 1991, the convention moved to the Macon Centreplex and has remained at this location since that time.
