Macon, Georgia- For the first time Macon will host the Georgia Science Teacher Association (GSTA) 2013-14 Annual Conference. GSTA hosts an annual conference each year in February offered to anyone involved with science education in the state. The organization is committed to support excellent science teaching for students in the state of Georgia. The conference will be held February 6-8th 2014 at the Macon Centreplex.

            Dr. Sally Creel, Director of the Georgia Science Teacher Association, said they expect more than 1,000 attendees who are pleased with Macon's central location.

"We are now able to attract more attendees from around the state. Macon is a good choice and a nice change of pace from Atlanta. We hope to come back to Macon in 2015."

 

            The Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau is a non-profit organization created exclusively to market Macon and Bibb County regionally, domestically and internationally to both groups and individuals, in order to enhance the economy and increase employment.
