Macon, Georgia- For the tenth year in a row, Macon will host over 600 convenience store and petroleum retailers throughout the Southeast for the Southern Convenience Store & Petroleum Show at the Macon Centreplex. The event, sponsored by the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores, will be held October 24-25. The tradeshow is not open to the public; however, media are invited to attend the tradeshow on both days. Show hours are noon-5 p.m. on Wednesday and 11 a.m.-3 p.m. on Thursday.

The theme of this year's show is "Pathway to Profits." Jim Tudor, President of the Georgia Association of Convenience Stores (GACS), states "We are pleased to again call Macon our home for the show and hope retailers throughout our state will participate in this year's event." According to Tudor, "In today's challenging retail environment, businesses are struggling to increase sales and profits. There will be more than 250 exhibitor booths at the Centreplex for retailers offering products and services designed to help them meet this challenge." Also, a free retailer seminar, "Motivate or Engage-What Really Drives Employee Performance" will be offered, Wednesday from 10 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and Thursday from 9:30 a.m.-11 a.m.

The Georgia Association of Convenience Stores is ranked fifth in the nation for the number of convenience store locations in the state. GACS membership includes retail managers, owners and operators of both traditional and petroleum marketing operations.
