Rock royalty once walked the streets of Macon. The Allman Brothers, Wet Willie, Marshall Tucker Band and many others once played in theaters, bars, lounges and anywhere a crowd would gather. It was Macon’s heyday in the late 60s, a time when a new sound, Southern Rock was born. The gritty, raw music was electrifying and changed the course of music history.
