MACON, Ga. -- Visit Macon held its annual meeting on Thursday at the Mill Hill Community Arts Center in east Macon.

The event featured tourism awards ceremony, year-end recap and preview of scheduled programs.

Officials also recognized community members with the 2018 Otis Hughes Tourism Spirit and BJ Cain Top of the Line awards.

The Otis Hughes Tourism Spirit award is given to someone who's given their time to tourism in Macon, and the BJ Cain Top of the Line award is given to a person who directly works with a visitor at an attraction, restaurant or lodging in Macon.
