September is one of our favorite months of the year. The weather begins to cool off. Football starts. And in Macon, one of our biggest events of the year happens.
School is back in for the older kids and we know it can be difficult to find things to do with the ones not quite old enough for day school. The good news is, there's plenty of things to do with your little ones in Macon.
As I’ve intimated in this forum before, a meticulous, minute-by-minute plan for Bragg Jam is essentially worthless, but you do have to do some sort of planning or else you’ll be lost, doomed to wander through the whispered asides of history with the likes of Amelia Earhart, Jimmy Hoffa, and the Roanoke Colony.
There’s a certain point in the Macon summertime that the heat takes a drastic turn upwards. Without even consulting a calendar, it’s obvious that July has arrived and with it, a special kind of scorching temperature.
The 12th Annual Fired Works Regional Ceramics Exhibition and Sales is happening April 21-30. Hosted by The Macon Arts Alliance , this 8-day event features more than 6,000 pieces of pottery by 65 ceramic artists from all over the Southeast. Here is a list of can't-miss events.
