Ocmulgee Brewpub

With a name inspired by Macon's Ocmuglee River, Ocmulgee Brewpub prides itself in serving the highest quality craft beer and food. It's bright and open air feel welcomes guests to sit down and enjoy a relaxing experience. Try out their mouth-watering burgers and hand cut fries. Wash them down with a tasty beer brewed in house by their brewmaster, Doug. From mainstays like their Float Daze Amber Ale and Muscogee Curse American IPA to their seasonal beers like the Slush Storm Winter Ale, there's something for everyone to enjoy. While you're there, be sure to look for the "Hidden Dougs" located throughout the restaurant. If you find all 10, you get a pint of beer on the house.

Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen

Recently named Best New Brewer in Georgia by RateBeer, Piedmont Brewery & Kitchen has been making amazing craft beer since they opened last year. From their Rye Milk Porter to Belgian Wit, their unique flavors will keep you coming back for more. The beers pair perfectly with their Southern-style menu. Try out the pork burger, brisket patty melt, mac & cheese, & more. After you've finished your meal, head downstairs to see their brewmaster make the beer, play arcade games, or try out your bocce ball skills. This place is fun for the entire family!

 

Macon Beer Company

Specializing in fine craft beers brewed in house, Macon Beer Company is a place to grab a beer after work or hang out on the weekends with friends. Try their flagship pale ale, Macon Progress or Macon Soul, their seasonal brown ale, and more. Take a tour of their large brewing area and learn how the beer is made from start to finish. They often showcase local musicians with small concerts on the weekends and offer fun games like cornhole and N64. One Facebook review speaks for itself, "Great beers and great atmosphere. As soulful as Macon itself."

 

The Society Garden

Enjoy the warmer weather at Macon's newest beer garden and wine bar. Located in Historic Ingleside Village, it's the perfect place to hang out with family and friends. Walk up to the outdoor bar and asked the friendly bartenders their recommendations for a beer or wine. Word of advice, try the wine slushies. They are incredible. Bring the kiddos and let them play in the sandbox or go down the slide. Their stage offers an intimate setting for a concert featuring different types of music from Folk, to Reggae, to Americana, and more.

Bearfoot Tavern

Located in the heart of Downtown Macon, Bearfoot Tavern is Macon's only gastropub and offers over 50 beers on tap, as well as signature cocktails and wine. Whether you're a fan of IPAs, Ambers, Pale Ales, or Goses, they're something for you. Stop by for dinner and pair your favorite drink with a delicious menu item like the brick oven pizza or Irish lamb stew. Enjoy your meal outside while listening to live music in the beer garden.

 

Just Tap'd

While Just Tap'd isn't technically a brewery, it does offer 64 fresh, craft beer on tap. Their knowledgeable staff will help you pick the perfect beer. If you can't decide on just one, try a flight of 4. They also offer delicious artisan style pub food from bratwursts, to charcuterie boards, and more. Test your knowledge on Tuesdays and Thursdays during trivia and win a gift card if you place in the top 3. Mark your calendar for the annual Just Tap'd Craft Beer Festival happening April 21. Sample a variety of craft beers while enjoying live music, food and fun for the entire family.
