Happy Friday, Macon! Today marks the First Friday of Spring, which makes it the perfect opportunity to enjoy the beautiful weather and take full advantage of all the shows, parties, and concerts happening around town.

Good Friday
The Grand Opera House

Come attend a city-wide Good Friday service with special guest Charles Billingsley. The services are free but tickets are required for entry.

Maze featuring Frankie Beverly and Friends
Macon Centreplex

The legendary band will be putting on a show that you aren't going to want to miss tonight! Listen to them perform some of their biggest hits. Tickets range from $45- $65 based on seating and is sure to be money well spent.

"The World As We See It" Opening Reception
The Gallery at the Macon Arts Alliance

View paintings by members of the Ocmulgee Painters Society and guest curated by Carol Griffin. The reception is free and light refreshments will be served. The exhibit is on display through April 24.

Civil War
Theatre Macon

Tonight marks the opening night for "The Civil War", a play depicting the most difficult test in American history. The story is told through letters, diaries, firsthand accounts, and the words of Abraham Lincoln, Frederick Douglass and Walt Whitman. The show starts at 8pm and is $25 for adults, $20 for seniors (60+) and $15 for students.

First Friday Hip Hop Ensemble
Fresh Produce Records

Fresh Produce Records will be getting the party started tonight. See local artists kick it old-school style and enjoy a night of MCs, Djs, and breakdancing. Party starts at 10pm.
