The Tubman Museum is hosting a special night at the museum this Friday, August 14 for girls and Friday, August 21 for boys. This is the perfect back-to-school experience for your children to go back and share with their class on Monday!

Bring your children dressed in their favorite PJ's for these exciting overnight events. Children ages 7-12 will enjoy a fun-filled evening with activities throughout the night.

The kids will enjoy pizza, play games, and have a mini-tour of the museum. On Saturday, enjoy a light breakfast and closing activity.

It is recommended, but not required, to send your children out with spending money; anywhere from $1-$15 for the museum store. Make sure your child brings a sleeping bag or blanket, comforter, and sheet, a pillow, toothbrush, toothpaste, facecloth & soap, a change of clothes for Saturday and an extra pillowcase to decorate and autograph.

No electronics allowed. The museum contact number will be given in case you need to reach your children. The Tubman Museum is not responsible for any loss or stolen items.

The deadline for registration is today, August 11, and the cost is $25.00 per child for Tubman members and $30.00 for non-members. You can make a check payable to Tubman Museum, or call (478) 743-8544 to pay by credit card.

The Night at the Museum will be supervised by Tubman Museum Education staff and volunteers. For more information, contact Tonya Parker, Director of Education and Outreach at (478) 845-3814 or
