Are you a movie fanatic? If so, you should check out the 10th annual Macon Film Festival from July 16-19. Sponsored by the Knight Foundation, the festival will have workshops, celebrity guests, and feature some great indie films. A few films that can be viewed during the festival are "The Bravest and the Boldest", "Take Me to the River", "My Girl Rose", "Look at the Sound", and "Lemonade Theory". Burt Reynolds from "Deliverance" and "Sharky's Machine" will be the special guest. There will be a variety of films playing at different show times at the Douglass Theatre, Cox Capitol, and the 567 Center for Renewal in downtown Macon. Tickets are available for purchase online. After you've enjoyed all of the film screenings at the Film Festival, you, your friends, and family should listen to live music party at the Bragg Jam Music Festival on July 25. Originally formed to honor the late brothers and musicians Braxx and Tate Bragg from Macon, there will be live concerts, free food, arts and crafts events for children, and the Ocmulgee Adventure Race.
