Macon is buzzing with holiday activities to do with your loved ones. Come out and see what's in store throughout the month of December.

Bibb County Board of Education Christmas Tree Lighting

On Thursday, December 3 at 6:30pm, the Macon-Bibb County School Board of Education will be hosting a Christmas Tree Lighting at the City Auditorium. Over 250 students will be singing Christmas carols at the Christmas tree lighting in Rosa Parks Square.

Christmas in the Village with the Middle Georgia Art Association

Stop by the Middle Georgia Art Association, located at Ingleside Village. There will be holiday sales, a visit with Santa for the kids, and a gift basket drawing on Dec 4 through Dec 6, from 10 am-5 pm. This event is free and open to the public.

Ocmulgee Holiday Night Walk

The Ocmulgee Mounds National Historical Park is having a very special 1-mile holiday walk with lanterns to the Great Temple Mound. This event is on Saturday, Dec 5, from 7 pm to 8:30 pm, and it is free to the public.

Christmas Hay Day

Come and experience "Twas the night before Christmas" showcase on Sunday, December 6. This event will consist of a glass blowing demonstration, where you, your family and friends can have your own ornaments made, self- guided tours, music, arts and crafts. Main Street Macon Christmas Parade

Come and celebrate at the Main Street Macon's Christmas parade in Downtown Macon. This year's theme is "believe". The parade will feature marching bands, floats, the Bibb County School Superintendent, Dr. Curtis Jones Jr., the Grand Marshall, and the Santa Claus himself. The parade will take place on Dec 6 at 3 pm.
