Whether you are heading to Dublin or Savannah for St. Patrick's Day, Macon is a great stop to celebrate the holiday, especially with the International Cherry Blossom Festival falling only one day later this year. Macon soon will become "The Pinkest City on Earth", but there are still some local businesses that are changing it up on Thursday by adding St. Patrick's Day green and Irish-inspired themes to their menus, drinks, and live music.

St. Patrick's Day Events

Kudzu Seafood Company's rooftop bar will have a day of live music with hand-crafted Irish cocktails and Terrapin beer on tap starting at 5:00 p.m. If you're looking for a dinner plan with a view, then head to Poplar Street to check out the Gulf Coast-style seafood and the music of Watt Knottz.

Bearfoot Tavern is adding new delicious food to their menu for St. Patrick's Day. Try out their Shepard's Pie, Jameson Glazed Wings, or Corned Beef and Cabbage for a taste of traditional Irish-inspired dishes. The gastropub also offers a large beer selection on tap.

Maybe you're looking for a nice outdoor venue to celebrate the beautiful weather that signals Spring is only days away. The Society Garden has a kitchen operated by Satterfield's BBQ and their menu will give homage to Ireland's roots with meals such as Guinness Braised Brisket Philly and Bangers and Mash. The beer garden will also have lively Irish music that will make you bust out a jig at their outdoor stage. They aren't stopping there! Did I mention green beer? Society Garden also offers an area that is kid-friendly with a slide and sandbox. All the festivities begin at 5:00 p.m.

If you're staying at one of our many accommodating hotels for the night and want to keep the party going, The Hummingbird Stage and Taproom will offer drink specials for the holiday and also a live performance from Southbound Mojo. The specials will start at 4:00 p.m. and last until close around 2:00 a.m.
