Once a year, Macon's landscape turns pink as 300,000 Yoshino cherry trees blossom around the city. To celebrate these gorgeous trees, Macon holds the International Cherry Blossom Festival. Happening March 16 - 25, here are the top events for this year's festival.

Cherry Blossom Riding Trail Tour (March 16 - 25)

While you're in town for the festival, stop by Visit Macon to take the Cherry Blossom Riding Trail Tour. View southern mansions and streets lined with cherry trees during this 2-hour tour highlighting the areas in Macon most densely populated with cherry trees. Tours run everyday at 11 a.m. & 2 p.m. Click the "Book Van Tour" button on our homepage to reserve your seats.

Amusement Ride Midway (March 16 - 25)

Whether you're bringing the kiddos or looking for a fun date night option, there's plenty of fun things to do at the Amusement Ride Midway. Happening at Central City Park, ride rides like the balloon wheel, tea cups, clown house, or x-factor. Be sure to bring your appetite. There will be all kinds of classic fair food options to choose from. There's also live entertainment throughout the 10-days.

36th Annual Parade (March 18)

Everybody loves a parade and this one's a festival favorite! Fantastic floats, live music by local marching bands, military units, and international dignitaries are just a few of the things you'll see. See Macon's beautiful Downtown area transformed into a dazzling showpiece. Performers and entertainers will wow the crowd at this FREE event.

Chic Soiree Fashion Show (March 22)

Whether you consider yourself a fashionista or just want to see the latest trends, you won't want to miss this posh event. See emerging Spring trends with an edge and sophistication. Celebrity guest models will rock fashion from local Macon boutiques.

Easter Egg Hunt (March 24)

This event is FREE and fun for the entire family. In partnership with Middle Georgia State University's School of Aviation, be amazed as thousands of eggs filled with toys and candy drop from helicopters above! Kids of all ages are welcomed to hunt for eggs, play on the inflatable bouncy houses, and dine on delicious food from local vendors.

Street Party (March 24)

Are you ready to rock the streets of Downtown Macon at the annual Street Party? Get down to Booker T. Jones. Groove to songs like Tell Me Something Good and I Feel For You when Chaka Khan takes the stage. More of a country fan? Listen to The Eli Young Band's sing their hits Crazy Girl and Even If It Breaks Your Heart and David Nail's Whatever She's Got and Night's on Fire.

Mulberry Street Arts & Crafts Festival (March 24 - 25)

During the final weekend of the Cherry Blossom Festival, head to Mulberry Street for the oldest arts & crafts festival in Macon. Shop from hundreds of vendors from across the country offering an array of products from food, to crafts, and more. Bring your appetite with you. The Food Truck Frenzy is happening during the festival too. Dine on delicious food from gourmet food trucks from soul food, to international cuisine, & more.

Grand Finale Glow (March 25)

Grab a lawn chair and celebrate the final day of the festival with an afternoon of family fun! Enjoy live music by Michelle Marshall and a tethered hot air balloon ride. The rides are $10.00 per ride. There's vending on-site, but feel free to bring a picnic!

Fireworks Finale (March 25)

After spending time at the Grand Finale Glow, head downtown to Central City Park for a beautiful fireworks show. This FREE event starts at 10 p.m.
