For those with limited experience with marketing events, learn the steps and tools available to successfully get the word out about your event. These basic principles can be used for marketing classes, workshops, conferences, performances, exhibit openings, and more. Topics will include how to maximize social media, getting your event in the newspaper, creating a marketing timeline, and more, with a focus on marketing on a shoestring budget.
This class will be taught by The 567's executive director, Melissa Macker. She has handled the marketing at The 567 for 6 years, and has experience marketing art classes, exhibits, concerts, fundraising events, and more.
The cost is $20 per person. (Free for members of Venture Place, The 567's coworking space.) Nov. 12, 1:00-2:30 pm.
