Painting and Color for Young Adults

 In this 5-week class, youth age 10-15 will learn about the use of color in their paintings through a variety of styles and mediums. Artist Beth Smith will teach students about color mixing, color theory, the 4 major color schemes, and the effect of light on color. Over the course of the class, students will work with all kinds of paint, from oil to watercolor, and learn about art history, from the Dutch Golden Age to contemporary street art. The cost is $120 for non-members, or $100 for members, and includes all materials. The class will meet Mondays, 6:00-8:00 pm, starting on January 8.
