Take a guided stroll through Rose Hill Cemetery alongside Historic Macon Foundation. Rose Hill Rambles are conducted in the historic cemetery and require participants to cross uneven terrain at times and be able to walk and/or stand for about 1.5 hours. The tour is free for members of the Friends of Rose Hill and $5 for the general public.
The coronavirus pandemic prevented us from having a ramble this past April, but we’ve scheduled one for Sunday, Oct. 25, at 2 p.m. at the cemetery. Jim Barfield will lead the tour, with assistance from Elliot James Fernandez.
Jim will start in the William Wolfe section of the cemetery, then go to the Johnston-Bond crypts. Gather at the main gate before going in.
We know the tour is outside, but please bring a mask if you plan to attend Oct. 25.
