Jewel, was abandoned by her parents at a young age & raised by her grandmother. She had a loving, but strict Christian upbringing, but after graduating from High School, Jewel decides to pass on a college education, against her grandmother's wishes, to become an R&B Recording Artist. This choice alters the course of her life, sending Jewel spiraling down a path she can't seem to find her way back from. However, it's only in her darkest moment that Jewel sees the Light of Truth---God had not failed her... He held her!
