Macon, Georgia - The Macon-Bibb County Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the 2011 Governor's Tourism Conference on September 11-14, 2011 at the Macon Centreplex Convention Center. Each year the conference gathers tourism professionals to share ideas, hear from industry experts, learn about trends and issues facing the tourism industry, and to educate themselves on the latest tools and techniques to promote tourism. The four-day conference will culminate with the Governor's Luncheon and Awards Ceremony at 12 pm on September 14th, featuring special guest Governor Nathan Deal.

The theme of this year's conference is "Get Centered", and hundreds of the states tourism professionals will learn how to get centered in the areas of sales, marketing, and public relations. There will also be numerous other sessions with topics ranging from Leadership and Service Excellence to Tourism issues for consideration in the upcoming 2012 Georgia General Assembly. The conference is open to all tourism professionals, and to those businesses and individuals interested in learning more about the challenges and initiatives of Georgia's tourism industry.

The registration fee for the 2011 Governor's Tourism Conference is $375 per person, and includes all general and breakout sessions, breaks, Tuesday's Leadership Luncheon, Wednesday's Governor's Luncheon, and evening events.
