Macon, Georgia-The Georgia State Square Dancers Association (GSSDA) will hold their 41st Annual Convention on September 20-22, 2012 at the Macon Centreplex. The theme of this year's convention is "Dancing is an Art...Come Dance Your Part." Advance tickets for the celebration are $25 per person and $30 at the door. One-day tickets are also available for $20 per person. Youth ages 17 and under attending with square dancing family are free.

The GSSDA is expecting over 1,000 dancers representing 100 clubs from around the state. All festivities start Sept. 20th at 11a.m. The convention will conclude with a Grand March, Saturday, September 22nd at 7p.m. and a flag ceremony featuring the Central High School ROTC.

Participants will have a fun-filled weekend of dancing, seminars, vendors, a fashion show, and a variety of other activities. Willis Crump, GSSDA President, states "mark your calendars now and join us for a great weekend of fun and fellowship. Over 60 callers and cuers will be scheduled in the various halls to bring you the finest dancing in southeast USA."
