Macon, Georgia- Destination Marketing Association International (DMAI) has named Kristen Simonton, Convention Sales Coordinator, as one of thirty future leaders of the destination marketing industry.
In its third year, DMAI's 30 Under 30 program focuses on identifying and developing the talent of destination marketing professionals, aged 30 and under, through increased access to top-level networking and professional development. Throughout the year-round program, Simonton will engage in a variety of professional development and volunteer activities for sustained industry engagement.
"Identifying and developing future leaders is important to our industry," said Monica Smith, President & CEO MBCCVB "The 30 Under 30 program provides Kristen the access to new knowledge and tools which will allow her to progress in her career."
The MBCCVB is the non-profit destination marketing organization of Macon and Bibb County. The mission of the MBCCVB is to unify and lead our community in marketing the Macon Bibb County area as a superior visitor and meeting destination.
Destination Marketing Association International is the largest organization for official destination marketing organizations (DMOs). DMAI is dedicated to improving the effectiveness of over 4,100 professionals from nearly 600 destination marketing organizations in 15 countries.
