Cinco De Mayo Block Party
From 11 a.m. - 11 p.m., hang out at a FREE block party that's fun for the entire family at El Camino & Hargray Capitol Theatre! From 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., enjoy face painting, a dunking booth, piñatas, & more. Kick-off your nighttime festivities from 4 - 7 p.m. with happy hour featuring DJ Charles Davis followed by live music from Fooligans & Magnolia Moon from 7 - 11 p.m. It's the perfect way to celebrate in Downtown Macon.
Cinco De Mayo Bash at Fish N Pig
Located on beautiful Lake Tobesofkee, dance the night away to the music of Soulosophy at Fish N Pig. Bring the kids & your lawn chairs and enjoy their first FREE outdoor concert of the season. While you're there, be sure to try some of their delicious seafood & barbecue.
Cinco De Mayo at Society Garden
Celebrate all day long at The Garden! From 12 - 3 p.m., shop local products at the Macon Makers' Market. Browse & purchase art, jewelry, & more. Local artist, Heidi Clinite, will be painting "sugar skulls & Lucha libre masks" from 2 - 4 p.m. (for the kiddos) & from 7 - 9 p.m. (for the adults). Try craft brewers versions of the Mexican-style lagers. There will also be live music all day including a Garden Jam from 4 - 6 p.m. and local Mexican music on the main stage from 8 - 10 p.m. This is event is FREE for all ages until 7 p.m. when there will be a $5 for ages 18+.
Cherry St. Pop-Up Plaza
What better way to start your day than with a free yoga class in Downtown Macon? Happening at Cherry St. Plaza, yoga will start at 9 a.m. followed by hip hop cardio at 10 a.m. After, enjoy live entertainment by DJ B3, a puppy brunch, superhero costume contest, & an artisan market. Then, from 6 - 11 p.m., enjoy superhero face painting and a screening of Wonder Woman starting at 8 p.m.

No Cinco De Mayo celebration is complete without tacos & margaritas. There's no shortage of places to have both in Macon. Known for their simple & refined menu featuring favorites like tacos, tortas, & tequila, El Camino is every Mexican fans' dream. Try La Bella Morelia for some of the most authentic Mexican food in town. From their marinated pork (al pastor) to their cow tongue (lengua), yes we said cow tongue, it's a must-try. Other restaurants like Margarita's, El Sombrero, La Parrilla Mexican Restaurant, & Guitarras Mexican Grill are also great options.
