Tourism is a powerful jobs and economic development generator in Macon. In 2015, traveler expenditures contributed $347.68 million to Macon's economy. These expenditures supported 3,400 jobs, $432.40 in tax relief for each Bibb County household, generated $9.71 million in local tax revenue and $14.79 million in state tax revenue.*
Bibb County also ranked 10th of 159 Georgia counties for FY2015 tourism expenditure levels.
